Magnolia School District Down to One Active Case
In this report the (+) and (-) are cases that have changed since Sunday. As Columbia County along with surrounding counties has struggled with covid cases, they are finally started to see a decrease in cases. The covid numbers are results from this week, last month, and last year.
In Columbia County, there are were 3,375 active or probable cases, last month there were 3,276 recorded cases and last year there were 690. Currently, there are 21 + 3 active cases, a month ago there were 63, and a year ago there were 44. Here recently there has been 3,282 recovers from covid. One month ago 3,147 recovered and a year ago there were 627. The number of deaths includes 72, last month was 66 and a year ago there were 19 deaths. On the antigen test, there has been a total of 1,172 positive tests and there are 11,944 negative tests. There is currently 50 to 80 percent of people are fully vaccinated.
In Magnolia School District, there is one active case in the High School, none in the Freshman Academy, none in the Middle School, 0-1 student in Central Elementary, none in East Side Elementary, 0-1 student in the Kindergarten Center, none in Walker Pre-K, the ratio for district-wide is 0-1, and total cases is just one student.
At Southern Arkansas University, there have been 477 positive since July 6, 2020. There is 1 + active case, none quarantined on campus, and 5+3 in quarantine off-campus.
In Lafayette County, there are 843 confirmed and probable cases, and 4-2 active cases. 811+3 have recovered from the virus and 27+1 have died. There are 50 to 80 percent fully vaccinated.
In Nevada County, there are 1,367+1 confirmed and probable cases, 22-2 active cases, 1,307+3 recovered from covid, 38 have died and 50-80 percent are fully vaccinated.
